Professional foundation

Experience shaped by installation realities.

For 20 years, I have worked through how technical systems are recorded, sold, scoped, designed, installed, programmed, commissioned, supported, and ultimately experienced. That field perspective informs both my consulting work and the software and automation tools I build.

I step into complex projects to restore clarity: closing design gaps, aligning stakeholders, strengthening documentation, and helping teams move from risk to a dependable handoff.

02 / ORIGIN

How it started

A microphone, a soundboard, and a reason to connect people.

My AV career began in Denver during the first wave of podcasting, about 20 years ago. I helped Denver morning-radio host Mike Zinna launch five podcasts across several genres, facilitating the recording and publishing work that helped those early shows find an audience. Roots to Rap continues today, while my own show, Eternal Jam Nation, was on the air for several months.

In Boulder, I worked with SoundTrail Studios to bring bands into the studio, interview them, and share those conversations online and through other outlets. I also spent several years miking festivals, connecting to the soundboard, and capturing full live recordings before that kind of field workflow was common.

That was my introduction to AV: listen closely, understand the signal path, make the technology disappear, and preserve the experience for someone who was not in the room.
