A better place for the little stuff

Small debris creates big frustration.

One compact, reusable container keeps the workspace cleaner while leaving both hands free.

Clip it. Fill it. Dump it. Get back to work.

One-way top doors help keep debris contained, while the bottom latch makes emptying fast and simple. Modular mounting moves Trash Stash from your belt to a ladder, pouch, wall, or cart without changing the way you work.

The story behind Trash Stash

A jobsite idea, engineered into a real product.

Trash Stash began with a practical need shared between people who work in the field—and became something far more capable through deliberate product design.

01

The jobsite moment

Brian Hughes and Jakob Rogers were working residential AV when Trevor Hain saw a small box hanging from a belt loop with a zip tie. Jakob said he and Brian had always wanted a little trash can that could clip to a belt, then asked Trevor if he could build it in CAD.

02

The field brief

A bin on a clip solved one problem. A real trades tool had to do more: work with Milwaukee and Veto Pro Pac gear, move from belt to ladder, stick to nearby metal, stay shut while climbing, and empty cleanly with one hand.

03

The hardware problem

Trash and useful parts inevitably mix. Trevor added the Hardware Saver™ concept—a magnetic corner that can hold a stray screw, nut, or bit while the debris drops out through the bottom door.

04

Trash Stash becomes a product

Trevor named it, designed it in CAD, engineered the mechanisms, built the prototypes, and developed the brand, artwork, documentation, and website through Echo Werks LLC.

Rev 1.0 · Maker release

Request the printable release.

Rev 1.0 is the only Trash Stash revision available for 3D printing. Access is reviewed manually so Echo Werks can keep the release, support notes, and license attached to the right version.

What access includes

  • The Rev 1.0 printable project-file package when approved.
  • Assembly orientation and hardware guidance included with that release.
  • Future corrections that remain within the Rev 1.0 maker release.
  • A version label that keeps Rev 1.0 separate from the Rev 2.0 production design.

Trash Stash Rev 1.0 Maker License

Approved access permits personal, educational, and internal jobsite evaluation prints. It does not permit resale, commercial manufacturing, redistribution of the source files, sublicensing, or use of Echo Werks trademarks as your own.

Mounting and package clarity

What is included—and what connects to it.

The printable release and the production product are different packages. This distinction keeps a Rev 1.0 print from being mistaken for the finalized Rev 2.0 system.

Rev 1.0 file access

  • Digital Rev 1.0 printable files and release notes only.
  • No filament, magnets, fasteners, printed parts, belt clip, or accessories are supplied.
  • Printer calibration, material selection, tolerances, and final assembly remain the maker’s responsibility.
  • Rev 1.0 is not guaranteed to accept future Rev 2.0 production accessories.

Rev 2.0 production system

The planned Echo Werks Modular Interface supports purpose-built mounting accessories for common work positions.

  • Belt clip and magnetic backplate.
  • Veto Pro Pac®, MOLLE, ladder-hook, and wall-mount adapters.
  • Optional Hardware Saver™ magnetic insert and drainage insert.
  • Accessories may be sold separately; the final included package will be stated before checkout.

Use and care

Frequently asked questions

How is Rev 1.0 assembled?

Use the assembly notes supplied with the approved Rev 1.0 file package. Dry-fit every printed part before installing magnets or pins, confirm the gravity doors move freely, and verify the bottom latch closes completely before jobsite use. Printed tolerances vary by printer and material, so never force a hinge or magnet pocket.

How should Trash Stash be cleaned?

Empty loose debris first, then wipe with a soft damp cloth and mild soap. Remove any optional insert before cleaning. Do not use a dishwasher, solvent, abrasive cleaner, open flame, or heat gun. Let every part dry fully before reinstalling magnets or hardware.

What should I know about the magnets?

Magnets can pinch fingers and can interfere with some medical devices, magnetic media, compasses, and sensitive electronics. Keep loose magnets away from children and pets. Inspect retention regularly, stop using the product if a magnet comes loose, and follow medical-device manufacturer guidance.

What temperatures can a printed Rev 1.0 handle?

Heat resistance depends on the selected filament, print settings, wall thickness, color, and load. Follow the filament manufacturer’s published service-temperature guidance. PLA prints may deform in a hot vehicle or direct sun; do not treat a printed part as heat-rated unless the specific material and finished print have been validated.

Is Trash Stash safety equipment?

No. Trash Stash is not PPE, a tool tether, fall-protection equipment, a climbing anchor, a step, or a container for food, liquids, hot material, blades, batteries, chemicals, biohazards, or energized parts. Mount it only where it will not interfere with climbing, walking, tools, or required protective equipment.

Can I print and sell Rev 1.0?

Not under the standard Rev 1.0 Maker License. Personal, educational, and internal evaluation prints are allowed after approved access; resale, commercial manufacturing, redistribution, and sublicensing require separate written permission from Echo Werks LLC.
